His international practice extends across South-east Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Canada, and the USA â including assignments with the UNDP/UNEP, the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO), and OxFAM. He is a Registered Technical Consultant with UNDP and CESO, having served developing countries and First Nations communities. He holds additional certifications in Electro-Mechanical Biological Treatment of Organic Waste from Munich University (2007) and Municipal Waste Conversion Technology from University of Göttingen (2008).
Under his leadership, Fluid Exponents has grown into a trusted provider of water and wastewater treatment systems, renewable energy solutions, and sustainable infrastructure projects. He serves as Chief Engineer/Scientist at Fluidyne International Corporation, a Joint Venture with Green Crown Water Systems, and as Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, Pierce College, and the University of Toronto.
Dr. Moya coined the words Imagineering, Leviotation, Velocentrifugation, and Ferhumiligation â each describing proprietary processes he invented. His technologies have been adopted by industry leaders including Halliburton-Schlumberger (deep-well drilling), Frito-Lay (cooking oil filtration), New York WaterMaker (water replication), BAC/Marley/Evapco (cooling towers), Siemens (MagGen), and Emterra/Wheelabrator (waste-to-energy).
His work has earned multiple recognitions, including the Governor of California Environmental Award on Emerging Green Technologies (2003), the Governor of New York Engineering and Inventions Award for Advanced Water Treatment against Legionnaire's Disease (2017), and the Professional Engineers Ontario Best R&D Award (2021) and Best Project Engineering Award (2022).
